Editorial Design
Content Localization
Reader's Digest is a global editorial institution with editions in dozens of languages and markets. Selecciones, its Argentine edition, required every layout to be carefully re-engineered for Spanish, balancing the integrity of a global editorial system with the expectations of a different culture and readership.
A collaboration spanning 20 years
It began with editorial training at Reader's Digest's original headquarters in Pleasantville, New York, then home to the magazine's international publishing operation. Over the following two decades, the collaboration continued through editorial projects, adapting layouts for the Argentine edition, developing book collections and special editions.
Beyond the Magazine
The partnership also included the design of standalone editorial collections, including illustrated cookbook series published under the Selecciones brand. Each title required its own visual identity while maintaining the clarity, accessibility, and editorial standards that defined Reader's Digest.
A Personal Note
One of the highlights of my early career was attending training at the historic Reader's Digest headquarters in Pleasantville, New York. Long before the campus closed, it stood as the centre of one of the most influential publishing organizations in the world. Learning there offered a rare glimpse into a remarkable editorial tradition that helped shape my approach to publishing and design.
